Chassis Max Handle Bars from Hotchkis are a critical component for any high-performance 1967-1969 Camaro or 68-74 Nova. First generation F-bodies use a subframe that can flex during hard cornering, altering suspension geometry and even alignment. Hotchkis has solved this problem by applying nature's strongest shape: the triangle. Handle Bars tie the control arms to each other and the firewall with high-strength tubing, CNC bent brackets and laser cut gussets for maximum strength and rigidity. The result is incredible handling and driver control that makes the most of your high performance suspension.
Starting April 2010. We have incorporated a adjustable top bar to increase adjustability and improve vehicle fitment due to manufacturing tolerance and condition of cars. The adjustable brace can also be installed on 68-74 Novas.

68-74 Chevrolet NOVA

How does the geometry corrected arm work?
The a-arm pivot bracket we provide is part of our solution for reducing bumpsteer. The stock upper a-arm configuration has such a steep inner pivot angle. This causes the caster to change rapidly as the suspension travels up & down causing excessive spindle geometry-point movement. Our new pivot location reduces this caster change and allows the upper, lower and steering arms to translate more harmoniously throughout its travel. This change in conjunction with our steering tie rods help minimize unwanted bumpsteer.
In addition, the upper arms themselves have more negative camber and more positive caster built into them to maximize tire contact patch while cornering.

These are patterned after ball joints commonly found on for the 1967-69 GM F-body and 1964-72 GM A-body, but the studs are 0.50" longer. Sold individually.
These ball joints are made using forged SAE4130 ball studs with high-polished ball heads. The studs are situated inside a forged, SAE1045 greasable housing. The housing are e-coated black - the coating is virtually impermeable to rust and is capable of passing a 240 hour salt spray test. We seal the unit with our signature, ring-retained, accordion-style boot. The boot design is crucial for the longevity of the ball joint - the traditional, clamp-on style boot is prone to tearing or pulling out of the clamp, which causes rapid wear once the joint is exposed to the elements.
Replacement for cars using the K5108 Upper Balljoint.
These Balljoints are not manufactured by Hotchkis Sport Suspension and do not cover the same warranty as Hotchkis Sport Suspension items.
