2010 Camaro Chassis Max Strut Brace

Like most street driven cars, the new 2010 Camaro suffers from chassis flex. Under hard cornering and when driving over uneven surfaces the unsupported strut towers momentarily distort, reducing stability and control. The new Chassis Max Strut Tower Brace from Hotchkis Performance adds necessary rigidity to the Camaro by eliminating strut tower flex.

The Chassis Max Strut Brace ties the strut towers together at four mounting points, offering maximum support in tension, compression and twist. The four point design offers a distinct advantage in strut tower support over a two point design, and also maximizes the performance gains from other chassis improvements like sport springs and sway bars. This product is a must for spirited street and track day driving.

Fabricated from strong, lightweight 1-¼" DOM steel tubing and 100% TIG welded with laser cut brackets and corner gussets, the brace is designed to fit over stock and Magnuson supercharged engines. Some drilling is required, and the brace bolts on in minutes. A unique reservoir relocation bracket is also included.

Finished in durable semi-gloss black powder coat, the Chassis Max Strut Tower Brace includes installation hardware and detailed instructions. Like all Hotchkis Performance products the brace is designed, track tested and manufactured in the USA using domestic materials. For maximum performance results, use the brace in conjunction with the Hotchkis Track Pack for ultimate 5th Gen Camaro handling.

Hotchkis Sport Suspension has found a solution for 2010 Camaro owners that are too low due to aftermarket wheels, lowering springs or super charger installations. Completely re-engineered these arms extend the wheelbase 1.8” and add up to +9° Caster for precise handling and maximum front end grip. The arms also feature CNC machined inset spring cups with polyurethane spring seats, and a Hotchkis exclusive, shim system that allows fine tuning the ride height up or in ¼” increments for different wheel/tire combinations or motors. 4130 Chromoly cross shafts are also included along with a bronze rear bushing for maximum heat resistance and smooth operation. How does the geometry corrected arm work?

The a-arm pivot bracket we provide is part of our solution for reducing bumpsteer.  The stock upper a-arm configuration has such a steep inner pivot angle.  This causes the caster to change rapidly as the suspension travels up & down causing excessive spindle geometry-point movement.  Our new pivot location reduces this caster change and allows the upper, lower and steering arms to translate more harmoniously throughout its travel.  This change in conjunction with our steering tie rods help minimize unwanted bumpsteer.

 

In addition, the upper arms themselves have more negative camber and more positive caster built into them to maximize tire contact patch while cornering.

  Install the Geometry Corrected Hotchkis Tubular Lower A-Arms on your 64-72 GM A-Body including Chevelle, El Camino, GTO and 442 and gain vastly increased handling and control. These TIG welded, bolt-on control arms offer ride height adjustment for ultimate performance and a great look, regardless of engine and transmission combinations. Smooth operating Delrin bushings allow the arms to move through their travel easily. Finished in gloss black powder coat, the arms are ready to install and are complete with ball joints, bump stops, ride height shims, polyurethane coil spring locators and Delrin bushings.
