Hotchkis H-Team Members Dominate Brock Yates’ One Lap of America

Every year the fastest and best handling cars in the country gather together for a seven day long racing event that includes 19 separate driving events that test both driver and machine in a variety of challenges.  Making this event even more challenging is the requirement that all cars compete on one set of tires and participate in a 3,245 mile rally in between racing events.  Hotchkis H-Team members Carl Casanova and Jon Mahn first drove in this event together in 2013 where they came in 3rd place in the Vintage American class, but this year the duo not only won their class, but came in 14th overall – beating out modern high performance cars like Corvette Z06s, Cadillac CTS-Vs, and Porsche 911s.

During the event, Carl and Jon gave their fans a special glimpse behind the scenes of the event with live updates from the road to their Facebook page – Honor Flight Camaro.  In those updates we got to see a lot more of the event then just the results of each day’s events.  We got a glimpse into the highs and lows that come with pushing your car to the limit for an entire week including uncooperative weather, broken parts, the joy of finding an open garage at the track, the peace of the open road, and the thrill of watching the next generation of drivers light up with joy at the chance to sit behind the wheel of your car.
