Santa Fe Springs, Calif. (November, 2012) – As the popularity of the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ continues to grow, so does the demand for a well-engineered, complete suspension system. Hotchkis Sport Suspension has answered this call with its complete handling solution for the FR-S and BRZ.

Hotchkis engineers spent hours on the track developing suspension components that were comfortable enough for the street but well tuned for track days or your favorite twisty road. The result is a suspension system with components that work together to deliver razor-sharp handling and responsiveness without adversely affecting the ride quality of the car.

Laying the foundation for the FR-S/BRZ’s handling package are the Hotchkis Sport Coil Springs. With a 1-inch drop and spring rates that are 45% stiffer in the front and 25% stiffer in the rear, these coil springs give the cars a more aggressive stance, lower the vehicles’ center of gravity, and maintain the necessary amount of suspension travel to not upset the already well balanced nature of the FR-S/BRZ.

Keeping body roll in check is the job of the Hotchkis Adjustable Sport Sway Bars. The front 1-inch tubular bar features two settings that increase roll stiffness by 170% or 245%. The ¾-inch blade style rear bar has an unprecedented four levels of adjustment that increase the rear roll stiffness from 200% all the way up to 550%. With so many different settings, these bars really allow the driver to tailor the stiffness to match their car’s tires, suspension, and their driving style.

For enthusiasts looking for the all-inclusive suspension package, Hotchkis offers its Sport Coil Springs and Sport Sway Bars together as the Stage1 Total Vehicle System (TVS). This is the perfect package for the person looking to dramatically improve the looks and handling of their FR-S or BRZ with a simple, bolt-on solution.

Reducing chassis flex and improving turn-in is the job of the front Sport Strut Tower Brace. This sleek aluminum brace is manufactured from Hotchkis exclusive 6061 T-6 1.5-inch x ¾-inch aero tubing, is TIG welded, and features a type 3 hard anodized finish for years of good looks and durability. For extra adjustability Hotchkis has also developed Camber/Caster plates and upgraded sway bar end links for the front suspension. Adding an extra degree of caster and adjustable up to 3-degrees of negative camber, these camber plates are a must for any enthusiast looking for the extra edge in handling performance. The adjustable front sway bar end links are built to stand up to the rigors of hard cornering and the stress of stiffer sway bars better than the factory pieces. They are adjustable from 240mm to 260mm so that you can adjust your sway bar preload to match whatever ride height you car is at.

All Hotchkis Performance suspension products for the Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ are manufactured in the USA, come with all necessary hardware, feature greaseable polyurethane bushings, and are finished in durable powder coat. These bolt-on upgrades can transform your FR-S/BRZ in a single afternoon are the ultimate way to unlock the true potential of the FT-86 platform.
